Please note we no longer offer the PPF adapter. The differential nose mount uses the same weld in design as the LFX and LSX conversions and is designed to omit the PPF. The kit now includes a bolt-in transmission mount. Based on our Getrag V8 conversion system we've designed for the stock MX5 transmission. A complete rear end upgrade with 400hp rated axles, upgraded drive shaft with serviceable universal joints. This diff swap kit is compatable with our NA & NB Tubular Rear Subframe Upgrade. The Getrag carrier is widely used in many GM vehicles with a broad range of power outputs and applications. Its lightweight cast aluminum design utilizes a clutch-style limited-slip differential an assortment of ratios. The size of the carrier offers exhaust clearance for  3” and optimizes ground clearance. Our unique design utilizes the factory hangers to support the carrier and custom front mount to eliminate twist and flex without relying on the subframe brace mounting points. This design allows the use of factory and aftermarket braces and subframe connectors. Check out our Getrag Differential Install Guide.  

Driveline Kits Include

Carrier and axle combinations for LSx and MX5 drive lines axle combinations are built from all new parts, no remanufactured or machined original parts are used. The components in each kit are designed to work together under their stated application. Offered with a choice of axle and driveshaft options.

We utilize the Getrag in our road course and streetcars. When sourcing the Getrag look for the 2006 - 2008. The later models have casting and seal updates. G80 series limited-slip GM part numbers: 3:23 - 25978162      3:42 - 25873500      3:73 - 25873497    3:90 - 25968531 . We offer new differentials for sale. Check our GM parts section. The kit comes with two different  length axle shafts, the driver side is the short axle. Passenger side is the king axle.

Can the later model diffentials work with the kit? I used one of the parts numbers you listed and it's superseded to a new part number that fits a 2013 Cadillac cts. Connor 9025776995 asked on October 14, 2023

Is it possible to order without the drive shaft? My transmission kit comes with one and I'm trying to save a little money. Pierce Duncan asked on June 27, 2023

Hi Pierce - yes, but this is a custom shaft that matches the stock transmission to the Getrag star pinion flange. If your transmission came with a standard Miata drive shaft it will not be compatible.

You state you’ve spent years refining the MIATA platform by scanning, using CAD to design new products, racing and testing. My question is have you ever narrowed a rear subframe? I have a fondness for Datsun Roadsters from the ‘60s. I have a 3.6 from a CTS and want the GETRAG under one but don’t want strange wide body flairs. I think you could have a new group of followers!
