When Mazda released the RX8 it was hailed for its perfect balance and handling. The power plant however was never fully adopted and plagued with reliability issues. So we set out with the goal in mind to retain what was so loved, and answer the long-desired quest for power. We based the kit around the late model LSx series. To mount the engine we developed an all-new tubular subframe, with integrated sway bar mounts to work with the CTSV accessory drive system and allows the use of the GM F-body oil pan without modification. The electric steering rack is swapped to a hydraulic Mazda MX5 version and helps shed 35lbs from the front of the car while mates to the GM pump. The transmission mount section uses a pair of CNC profiled uni-body supports which strengthen and provide the mounting areas for the transmission cross member. The PPF is removed and the differential is replaced with our driveline kit based around the Ford 8.8. Mounting kit includes:
- Tubular front subframe with built-in sway bar mounts
- Lightweight engine plates with Energy polyurethane mounts
- Laser-cut and CNC profile uni-body supports
- Double arch transmission cross member for 3" dual exhaust Energy polyurethane mount

Necessary hardware to install grade 8 zinc finished with proper fasteners

Hi Jonathan - any 3rd or 4th gen LSx can be used, except the LS7. The proper fitting accessories are from CTSV. The F-body accessories can also be used, but the fitment of some of the sub-components will require more effort to fit.
Hi Jonathan - the kit will mount the 6060, but the shifter will not align. You would need to use a custom shifter that uses the GTO offset.
Hi Randy - Yes, all stock suspension is reused, minus the steering rack which is source for the NC MX5(2006-2015)
Hi Anibal - Yes, you can adapt from our transmission cross member back. We do not make a adapter, but something custom can be made.

Worth the wait! Excellent fit and finish!
Ive been planning on doing this swap for almost a decade and this cradle was what attracted me to the idea. After finally getting my hands on a shell and drivetrain I pieced together my swap components based around this subframe. You get no install instructions but its fairly straight forward and fit without much trouble. You will need to reuse all factory cam hardware so save or order replacements if yours like mine got damaged in removal. Good luck finding a CTSV Power Steering Pulley or Reservoir since they are no long produced in either OEM or Aftermarket. Other acc kits may interfere with sway bar. Also trim the rear most(firewall end) 6″ of frame “lip” to help with clearance for the heads, plug wire and exhaust manifold bolt. The transmission brace does have a long end and a short end so note that. Overall this is the best option on the market to mount a LS based engine in an RX8.
