Very happy with this purchase. Everything showed up on time and fit in the car perfectly. Also customer service was very quick and helpful in answering any questions I had. Would definitely recommend
Let me start by saying, I hate leaving reviews like this and I always try to make sure it’s not something I’m doing wrong first but I just can’t find anything that I’m doing wrong. Reading the reviews before buying the kit I was super excited to get it and be able to bolt everything up with ease. The first thing I noticed was one of the ears on one of the motor mounts was welded on crooked so I had to put it in a vise and bend it out just for the mount to bolt to the sub-frame. The upper bolt on the bottom of the car (if that makes sense) is not a good design at all. You can’t get a socket on it at all. Lucky I have small fingers and could get it started with 2 fingers then you have to use a wrench to tighten it. They have the subframe made to set the motor back as far as possible (which is probably a good thing) but it makes trying to get the motor in the very difficult and is almost impossible with one person( at least in my scenario). I have yet to get the motor supported by just the sub frame yet. Maybe I’m just nite picking but for the price we pay for this kit everything should be simple and easy as possible. I was super disappointed when I started trying to put the subframe and motor in. I haven’t test fit the frame rails or trans mount yet so hopefully those go better.
Excellent product by an excellent supplier. All holes lined up perfect and make nestling the v8 a simpler chore. Thanks guys!
So I’m doing an SBC swapped Miata and I ordered lots of stuff pre getting this kit (that came with everything I could possibly need) and I had bought aluminum adapters for LS to SBC… come to find out, the motor mounts that come with the kit USE SBC bolt pattern and just have a plate with the LS pattern bolted on so my motor literaly just dropped in place, anyways, exited to see how it turns out :D
