(7 customer reviews)

This subframe is for the creative! We build everything but the motor mounts.
Tubular subframe provides a 10 pound, 30%, saving over the factory NB subframe. Built from DOM tubing. All mounting and suspension points are laser cut for precision fitment and alignment. Our tubular subframe improves rigidity along with updated suspension point with improved steering feedback. Increased engine bay room allows forced induction cars more option for routing. Ease of service with additional working room. Available with NA or NB steering rack mounts. Subframe is shipped bare metal ready to be finished.
What is it going to be? Rotary, V8, V6 you decide.

    The best I’ve seen.
Hello, I’m in Australia and purchased a mount less crossmember.
At first, I considered modifying a standard crossmember which I did
at a huge weight penalty! Also, there was the cost of purchasing a replacement
one. I weld every day and after making a jig to support it and cut and shut everything
I still had alignment issues and about 5 pounds more weight in it.

    Scrap was the result.
When it arrived, I was so surprised with the quality of the welds and the light but strong
construction. The fit is superb. no bending or using a bar to make things fit, it just works!
So, Cheers to V8 Roadsters for a superb product.
    All the best, Steve

    V8Rocks!
Bought at MATG2022. Was delivered quick, packed well. Used some tomfoolery some blackmagic to build my own SBF engine mounts. The V8R subframe fit like a glove when delivered. Now my project has a SBF in with headers to fit inside the frame rails. Hope to have Project done for MATG2023

    Engine frame
A nice solution for custom engine swaps ( my Honda S2000 engine), creates much more room for fitting header, etc. Well made.

    Light and strong!
Using this subframe with my drag miata using a turbo LS. I have my engine mounted with motor plates but with this subframe gives me alot more space around the engine for servicing the car.

Received my Subframe ahead of schedule and it looks great. The welds look fantastic and I cant wait to get my build started.

Hey there, I know the subframe doesn't doesn't come with motor mounts themselves, but does it have the locations for engine mounts to fasten to? Or is that what I would need to fabricate? I'm going to K swap my NB soon, so I thought I'd check and see. Thanks! Carlos Smith asked on October 23, 2024

Hi Carlos,

The light weight subframe is designed for the stock engine. Our subframes are design with mounting points specific to each engine type.

Do you guys have a frame kit for an old style Chevy motor I am building a reproduction Chevy DZ 302 small block and I want to put that in my Miata.. what do you have for parts Lawrence asked on May 13, 2024

Hi Lawrence - No, the mount-less subframe would be the best option. Our subframe options outside or the mount-less are for the stock BP engine and LSx variants.

I want to install this subframe in my SBF car. Do you have any insight as to the construction of the SBF stands for the motor mounts? I see a review here by MARK G McLAUGHIN that did the same thing I want to do. Can you provide me any of his contact information please, email or phone. My car does already have many of your pieces installed such as 8.8 rear mounting system, top and bottom tubulars all around, brake protortioning valve, etc.. Thank you. jerry pearson asked on November 25, 2023

Hi Jerry - please send us an email and we will provide the images we received from Mark.
