The Getrag carrier is widely used in many GM vehicles with a broad range of power outputs and applications. This is our go-to differential for our conversions because of Its lightweight cast aluminum design and clutch-type limited slip. It is available in an assortment of ratios listed below. The size of the carrier offers clearance for dual 3″ exhausts and optimizes ground clearance. Stage 1 kits are suited for up to 450whp builds and are designed to work with the factory hubs. Stage 2 kits are rated at 550hp and include upgrade forged hubs and ARP studs. Chose the drive shaft material that best suits your needs. We do recommend the upgraded aluminum shaft for drive-ability and the reduced rotating mass. Check out our Getrag Differential Install Guide.

Kits include – axles stage 1 or 2, differential mount, and driveshaft for selected transmission or without drive shaft for custom applications of trans swaps. To order without the drive shaft please select no transmission and no driveshaft.

The kit comes with two different length axle shafts, the driver side is the short axle. Passenger side is the king axle.

PLEASE NOTE – because of the large number of axles combinations, axles are built to order. Lead times vary but typically run 5-8 weeks.

Getting all the power to the ground is critical to building one of these little beasts. Once again, V8Roadsters has made it a simple process. Everything lined up perfectly and went together without any drama. The stage 2 setup with aluminum driveshaft lets me have ridiculous amounts of fun without worrying if my equipment is up to the task.

    diff swap kit
Well made and thought out; I like to fab up most of the things I work on, but the V8R kits provide a well designed package that take care of parts of the build & let me move on to the rest without having to re-fettle things. High quality bits.

  3. 6.0 Miata

    Very happy with whole experience
Fit and function is excellent. I enjoy the Parts being heavily powder coated. Will likely lastonger than the car itself!

Customer service was great! These guys are pros and want to keep a great reputation. I’m glad to have done business with them.

As always V8Roadsters comes in clutch when it comes to simple bolt-in strong supporting parts for these builds. The stage 2 kit with Aluminum driveshaft has been perfect for the amount of power we are putting down, with no issues! And supports our Getrag Diff perfectly. Again smooth install and we could’nt be happier with the results!

Which drive shaft option will work for a 4l80e? Customer asked on May 7, 2023

Hi Derek - there are a few difference out put shafts that were used in this series transmission. The must common for the GM models would be the 27 spline slip.

I am swapping an ecoboost 2.3 with an mt82 trans from a mustang and i dont need a driveshaft. Is there any way to get the CV axles only? Or, can you have a driveshaft made that will mate to the MT82 trans? Keenan Godburn asked on August 20, 2022

Hi Keenan - the kit can be purchased without the driveshaft. Select no transmission and no driveshaft in the drop down options.
