The BIG picture. Mazda started with a clean sheet of paper with the MX5, and we did too. This is hands down the best conversion platform for the LSx. The NC conversion has been called "the modern-day AC Cobra" by several publications. One drive and you'll know why! We designed our mounting kit to position the LSx driveline between axles, yielding only a 1% increase of distribution to the front. Many hours of CAD design enables a lighter and stronger subframe that fully triangulates the chassis with built-in sway bar and radiator mounts. This design leads to a conversion almost completely "plug and play" with minimum fabrication needed. V style transmission mount cradles the T56 snugly in the tunnel with plenty of room for exhaust routing while aiding in central torsional rigidity. Powder coated in silver vain gray.

The mounting kit includes:

· CAD designed and multi-year tested light weight tubular subframe for LSx engines.
· Light weight engine plates and Energy polyurethane mounts.
· V style transmission cross member for T56 transmission and Energy polyurethane mount.
· Necessary hardware to install grade 8 or better zinc finished.
· Dark gray gloss powder coat.
Mounting kits are built to order. Lead times vary and it is best to contact us for the current lead time.

Is there anything different about an LQ4 that would cause any issues with this mounting kit? Everything I've found says it's basically a 3rd gen LS with different pistons/heads so the block should be the same. By chance can you confirm? Tony Williams asked on July 13, 2024

Hi Tony - the LQ4 will work with the mounting kit. The oil pan, intake, and accessories will need to be swapped to fit properly in the chassis.

Hi. Is this RHD compatible and do you ship to the UK? Thanks. tom joyce asked on June 8, 2023

Hi Tim - at the moment we are not able to product the subframe with RHD steering rack mounts. We are in the process of trying to obtain the proper mounting locations for future production. We ship to the UK via FedEx.

Hi. I am interested in this subfram, but would it be possible to build it to suit corvette c5 engine brackets and motor mounts instead? Just thinking if you can build ut if so? Can i just a stock nc sway bar or do i need your bar with this subframe? Thanks Christopher Olstorp asked on August 29, 2021

Hi Christopher - No, the C5 mounts can not be used. The kit includes the engine mounts that work with the subframe. The additional length of the LSx requires the sway to re-positioned further forward and stock length sway bars will be too short.
