The BIG picture. Mazda started with a clean sheet of paper with the MX5, and we did too. This is hands down the best conversion platform for the LSx. The NC conversion has been called “the modern-day AC Cobra” by several publications. One drive and you’ll know why! We designed our mounting kit to position the LSx driveline between axles, yielding only a 1% increase of distribution to the front. Many hours of CAD design enables a lighter and stronger subframe that fully triangulates the chassis with built-in sway bar and radiator mounts. This design leads to a conversion almost completely “plug and play” with minimum fabrication needed. V style transmission mount cradles the T56 snugly in the tunnel with plenty of room for exhaust routing while aiding in central torsional rigidity.
